摘要: Hepatitis E virus (HEV) is an enterically transmitted usually presenting as acute self-limiting disease. However, mortality increases dramatically from around 1% to 20% in pregnant women. HEV has been the cause of very large outbreaks hepatitis developing countries and also responsible for a significant number sporadic cases. It clear that cases occur outside endemic areas, new isolates have identified. HEV-like viruses found various animal groups, it likely can be regarded zoonotic infection. Preventative measures at moment depend mainly on provision clean water supplies, although vaccine now undergoing clinical trials.
