摘要: Since the first cochlear implant approved by US Food and Drug Administration in early 1980s, great advances have occurred technology. With these advances, patient selection, preoperative evaluation, rehabilitation consideration continue to evolve. This article describes current practice pediatric candidacy reviews medical surgical considerations implantation, explores expanding criteria for implantation within population.
