摘要: Abstract Objectives To examine rural and urban pharmacy staff perceptions on messaging, barriers, motivators for preventing alcohol medication interactions (AMI) in older adults (≥65 years of age). Methods A survey was distributed through the local pharmacist association statewide registry Kentucky. total 255 responses were received from pharmacists, technicians, students. Results Across regions alike, among AMI prevention messages provided, participants identified most important to be: can be potentially dangerous life threatening; emergency rooms should used when experiencing an AMI; doctors pharmacists consulted about AMI. The common barriers indicated stigma, costs, low perceived risks. physical health improvement, promoting a healthy lifestyle, convenient setting, financial incentives. Conclusion Regardless geography, similarly rated presented messages, motivators. With use these findings, development program is suggested messaging threat, behavioral management, prevention.
