摘要: A chlorophyll a/b protein complex has been isolated from a resolved native photosystem I by mildly dissociating sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The contains single polypeptide of molecular weight 20 kilodaltons, and ratio 3.5 to 4.0. visible absorbance spectrum the showed maximum at 667 nanometers in red region 77 K fluorescence emission 681 nanometers. Alternatively, treatment with lithium sulfate Triton, could be chromatography on Sephadex G-75. Immunological assays using antibodies P700-chlorophyll a-protein II light-harvesting show no cross-reaction between other two chlorophyll-containing complexes.
