摘要: In three experiments, we used eyetracking to investigate the time course of biases in looking behaviour during visual decision making. Our study replicated and extended prior research by Shimojo, Simion, Scheier (2003), Simion Shimojo (2006). Three groups participants performed forced-choice decisions a two-alternative free-viewing condition (Experiment 1a), gaze-contingent window 1b), an eight-alternative 1c). Participants viewed photographic art images were instructed select one that they preferred (preference task), or judged be photographed most recently (recency task). Across experiments tasks, demonstrated robust bias towards chosen item either gaze duration, frequency both. The present effect was less task specific than those reported previously.
