摘要: Abstract The development of large populations cladocerans and copepods in reservoirs that store wastewater for crop irrigation causes severe clogging systems. In most Israel water is filtered at the banks before being sent to irrigation. This avoids/reduces systems transferring problem storage reservoirs. To cope with this we studied relationships between particle size distribution a range secondarily treated different characteristics management. Since are deep thermal stratification develops, measurements time required clog 100 μm pore net filters samples physico-chemical microscopic analyses were collected surface, epilimnion hypolimnion. Factor analysis allowed identifying two independent sets environmental conditions planktonic species lead filters. first set related community complex web feeding interactions which organisms capable mainly copepods. second occurs spring fall, includes forming short food chain cladocerans. A third factor was organic loading, mostly entrance fresh into during season, had negative effect on nitrification promoted blue green algae copepod reproduction. potential management procedures avoid filter indicates these manipulations structure towards smaller do not would be effective against better option decrease events pumping out from epilimnion, preferably
