摘要: Abstract One-pot successive three-step RAFT polymerization of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) and butyl (BMA) in the presence difunctional CTA is reported demonstrating successful synthesis pentablock copolymers containing hydrophilic blocks pHEMA separated by hydrophobic pBMA. Dispersity was lower than that triblock copolymers, down to 1.11. copolymer were decorated pendent butylthiocarbonothioylthio moieties, which served as multiple for grafting acrylic acid (AA). The resulting anionic brush consisting three linear characterized SEC with triple detection 1 H NMR spectroscopy. Pentablock short pAA side chains produced aggregates at low pH showed conformational changes during titration alkaline solution, while those medium-length ionization behavior typical molecular brushes. Anionic are mimicking naturally occurring brushes deserve attention potential surface modifiers lubricants.
