摘要: Abstract Water quality associated with nitrate (NO 3 − ) leaching from agricultural soils is an important environmental issue. This paper describes a new modelling approach to quantitatively evaluate the effect of use fertilisers on global leaching. A process-based simulation model was previously developed for nitrogen cycle in terrestrial ecosystems, which soil inorganic form ammonium (NH 4 + and NO considered. After introducing data world fertiliser consumption (FAO, 1995) into steady-state model, extent disturbance caused by fertilisation calculated. Although resulted annual increase net primary production (NPP, represented as carbon) 18 Gt year −1 , gaseous losses oxides ammonia were also accelerated. Most regions heavy application (over 100 kg ha year showed high load equal or more than 20 kg ha . About 2.5% land area occupied ecosystems suffered serious 30 kg ha Of total amount applied (138 Tg year 19% lost leaching, 8% ammonia, 3% oxides. The rest assumed be fixed through vegetation uptake.
