摘要: This study was a part of research program concerning the pollution Venice Lagoon, in north Italy. The purpose to evaluate contamination due polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/F), class pollutants arising mainly from combustion chemical manufacture. Six selected stations lagoon were investigated by analysis surface sediment samples using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Principal Component Analysis Regularized Discriminant Analysis, two chemometric approaches, applied data set source-related literature. results showed moderate PCDD/F areas, levels within substantially higher than open sea. investigation homologue profiles comparison with published indicated different dioxin sources some similarities these environmental sources. Samples collected near Marghera Harbour at Sacca Sessola similarto contaminated ethylene dichloride production effluents while most other similar those gasoline diesel engine emissions.
