摘要: In a laboratory study, iron oxide-coated sand showed promise as medium for use in small systems or home-treatment units developing areas of the world, removing arsenic(III) and arsenic(V) from ground water. A low-cost, simple, home arsenic removal unit (material fabrication cost: Rs. 200, cost medium: 80, regeneration 5; 1 U.S. dollar = 35), containing 6 kg (4 L) sand, produced 625 610, 780 760 L water two cycles runs when influent concentration was 1.0 mg/L. detailed study addressing effects some important factors (selectivity over one another removal, pH, type competing anions, cations) on process is needed. The should be subjected to field trial assess long-term performance.
