摘要: Abstract The nexus between renewable electricity (RES-E) generation and interconnection is likely to play a large part in future de-carbonised power systems. This paper examines whether RES-E shares should be measured based on consumption rather than production with European case study presented for the year 2030. demonstrates volume scale of transfers shows how countries have differing when comparing those derived traditional production-based approach alternative. proposed consumption-based accounts being imported exported an hourly basis across 30 highlights concerns regarding uncoordinated support mechanisms, price distortions cost inequality. These are caused by cross-border subsidisation this work proposes that agency appointed administer regional affairs. would accurately quantify remunerate producers from country consumed their instead where it has been produced – policy enhanced enabling more equitable optimal decarbonisation.
