摘要: Scotland has been conducting national monitoring exercises in science performance at three-yearly intervals since 1987 through the Assessment of Achievement Programme (AAP). The fourth survey 1996 included a questionnaire designed to elicit pupils' preferences for some common topics as well their views on kinds learning experiences encountered school. responses nationally representative sample pupils three stages, two primary (P4- 8/9 years and P7- 11/12 years) one secondary (S2- 13/14 years), were analysed by (st)age gender. While this element was intended primarily feasibility study, clear patterns preference along age gender lines identified. Concerns over achievement attitudes have particularly sharp early years, where not meeting expectations. findings from are add that debate.
