摘要: Do politicians prefer to establish dyadic clientelistic linkages with citizens who are in groups or not groups? How do these preferences play out the informal sector? These important issues that still largely unknown. There is a scarcity of theories on nexus between sector and politics Africa would help us understand such linkages. It tries find by comparing likelihood two types business owners getting private benefits from politicians: those not. findings show have more complex than existing studies clientelism shown. shows only individuals they face-to-face relationships with, but also members group. most likely get politicians.
