摘要: Abstract This paper discusses the possibility of using electron linear accelerators as picosecond synchrotron radiation sources. Calculations presented show that Stanford Linear Collider could exceed spectral brilliance existing storage rings (although at a much lower total flux) while producing 3 ps long pulses repitition rate 180 per second. Higher performance sources might be feasible but would require major modifications or development new facilities.
