摘要: Abstract Background The identification of new biomarkers to predict the aggressiveness hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and supplement current set prognosis treatment algorithms is an important clinical need. Extracellular microRNAs (miRNAs) circulating in blood are a class highly promising disease markers. Aim Here we investigated prognostic potential miR-1 miR-122 sera from patients with HCC. Methods RNA was extracted 195 HCC 54 liver cirrhosis, obtained at time study enrolment. levels were correlated overall survival (OS), Cancer Liver Italian Program (CLIP) score, Barcelona Clinic stage, chemistry parameters tumor specific treatment. Results Patients higher serum showed longer OS than individuals lower concentrations (hazard ratio [HR] 0.440, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.233–0.831, P = 0.011 for HR 0.493, CI 0.254–0.956, P = 0.036 miR-122, respectively). Serum did not differ significantly between cirrhosis. An age-, sex-, stage treatment-adjusted multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that (HR 0.451, 0.228–0.856, P = 0.015) independently associated OS, whereas not. no relevant correlation parameters, hepatic necroinflammation, function synthetic capacity. Conclusion Our data indicate independent parameter may therefore improve predictive value classical staging scores.
