摘要: The production of B cell-stimulating factors (BSF) by cells in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) was studied vitro. from SLE markedly proliferated and differentiated into Ig-producing vitro culture without any stimulation. supernatant these contained BSF activity that stimulated Staphylococcus aureus Cowan I-treated normal to proliferate differentiate cells. By a Percoll gradient density centrifugation, BSF-producing were enriched the higher fraction, but reduced lower fraction. also proliferation differentiation responsive Mr estimated as about 18,000 Da Sephacryl S-200 column chromatography. fraction did not possess IL-2 IFN activity, possessed IL-1 which murine thymocyte proliferative responses. partially, completely, absorbed an anti-IL-1 alpha antibody. Furthermore, IL-4 induced only responses cell mitogens, expression low affinity Fc epsilon R/CD23 on IL-6 IL-6-dependent hybridoma cells, MH-60 BSF2. Moreover, human rIL-1, rIL-4, rIL-6 These results suggest spontaneously produce such alpha, IL-4, express their receptors surface, interaction between stimulates autocrine mechanism.
