Anatomy of a Polarization Switch of a Vertical-Cavity Semiconductor Laser

摘要: Using a streak camera we have measured the three Stokes polarization parameters during switch of vertical-cavity semiconductor laser. The occurs along corkscrew path on Poincare sphere and takes average few nanoseconds; this value agrees with theoretical treatment based upon Fokker-Planck equation.
