摘要: Abstract Objective: to validate the role of duplex scan in endoleak detection postoperative surveillance endoluminal abdominal aneurysm repair (EAAR). Patients and methods between April 1997 March 1999, 103 patients were eligible for computed tomography (CT) after EAAR. Mean follow-up was 8 months (range 1–24 months). The study protocol comprised concurrent examination with colour-duplex CT at 1, 6, 12 EAAR, a total 198 examinations. All examinations performed by two vascular surgeons same machine (ATL HDI 3000). Interobserver agreement (κ=1) type (κ=0.7) evaluated 50 random Endoleak examined comparatively scan, latter being gold standard. Sensitivity specificity tests together negative- positive-predictive values (NPV PPV) calculated. Results not feasible one patient. On rate 4% month, 3% 6 months, year. Overall, detected endoleaks. With respect detection, revealed great ability ruling out false-negative results (sensitivity 91.7%, NPV 99.4%), but overestimated presence (specificity 98.4%, PPV 78.6%). Regarding endoleak, identify source low 66.7%). Conclusions if validated, appears be reliable means excluding
