摘要: The effects of hygrothermal cycling upon the performance a bolted composite joint was examined. Bolt torque relaxed as number environmental cycles increased. Comparison with analytical results suggested that bolt “zigzag” behavior probably from natural sensitivity joints to existing ambient temperature and moisture. washer effect specimen surface finishes were investigated study friction on bearing performance. Fatigue tests specimens exposed exhibited greater hole elongation than not exposed. High preload does improve static failure strength fatigue life under room conditions. Tests run IM6/3501-6 material show reasonable declines in life. moisture weight gains composites exposure measured compared numerical results; good correlation obtained. As result, occurred some is most frequently associated large thickness-to-diameter ratio. peak-to-peak stress defined R-ratio bolts for problem.
