摘要: Objective To evaluate the potential of three-dimensional ultrasound to predict outcome in congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Design Prospective observational study. Setting Tertiary care centre. Population Twelve cases isolated hernia (11 left-sided, 1 right-sided) and 109 controls. Methods Fetal lung volume was assessed by using technique rotation multiplanar imaging. In control fetuses, a logistic transformation performed correlate fetal with gestational age, confidence interval obtained bootstrap resampling. A mathematical equation then allowing calculation expected as function age. fetuses hernia, observed/expected ratio compared postnatal outcome. Main measures Neonatal mortality pulmonary hypoplasia, which defined lung/body weight ratios less than 0.012. Results The derived from equation: (mL) = exp (4.72/(1 + ((20.32 − age weeks)/6.05))). significantly lower group (median: 0.34, range: 0.16–0.66), 1.02, 0.62–1.97, P < 0.0001). distribution this downshifted infants who died 0.19, 0.18–0.66) survivors 0.44, 0.36–0.66, P= 0.04). also correlated postmortem ratio. Conclusion measurement is predictor for hypoplasia outcome.
