摘要: In this study, the authors present an energy-efficient data compression protocol for collection in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). WSNs are essentially constrained by motes’ limited battery power and bandwidth. The focus on algorithms development to effectively support gathering WSNs. Their design of compressed data-stream (CDP) is generic sense that other lossless or lossy can be easily ‘plugged’ into proposed system without any changes rest CDP. This intends various different WSN applications where users may prefer more specific algorithms, tailored sensing characteristics question, their general algorithm. CDP not only able significantly reduce energy consumptions multi-hop WSNs, but also network traffic thus avoid congestion accordingly. implemented tinyOS platform using nesC programming language. To evaluate work, conduct simulations via TOSSIM PowerTOSSIM-z with real-world data. results demonstrate significance
