摘要: Auxin-mediated elongation growth of isolated subapical coleoptile segments maize (Zea mays L.) is controlled by the extensibility outer cell wall epidermis (Kutschera et al., 1987). Here we investigate hypothesis that auxin controls this changing orientation newly deposited microfibrils through a corresponding change in cortical microtubules. On basis electron micrographs it shown cessation after removal endogenous source correlated with relative increase longitudinally orientated and microtubules at inner surface. Conversely, reinduction exogenous transversely These changes can be detected 30–60 min addition auxin, respectively. The functional significance directional desposited for control discussed.
