摘要: Abstract Objectives : Investigators have suggested using pupillometry to assess alertness in hypersomnolent patients. In this study we assessed patients and normal volunteers by examined the usefulness of technique for diagnosis pathologic sleepiness individual Methods Forty-nine were their was multiple sleep latency test (MSLT). Thirty-three well-rested also pupillometry. The classified as having ‘mild', ‘moderate', or ‘severe' sleepiness, based on mean MSLT latency. Several dynamic variables pupil diameter calculated from pupillograms correlated with latency, compared between severity groups subjects. Results All but two pupillometric significantly except same sleepiest group different those However, only 51% latencies less than 10min 35% 5min could be correctly identified Conclusions Pupillometry is clearly associated differences assessment cannot substitute most cases.
