摘要: To elucidate the importance of enteropathogenic Escherichia coli (EPEC) and enteroaggregative E. (EAggEC) as etiological agents in traveler's diarrhea, detection eaeA aggR gene strains isolated from overseas travelers with diarrhea Tama, Tokyo was carried out using a PCR method. Of 192 who were mostly adults had visited Asian countries April 1998 to March 1999, aggR-positive detected 26 (13.5%). These represent second predominant enteropathogen following enterotoxigenic (ETEC), whereas eaeA-positive confirmed seven subjects (3.6%). In 13 cases four eaeA, organisms stool samples patients only potential enteric pathogen. The clinical symptoms these similar those ETEC; however, severity illness milder than that associated ETEC alone. Three five typed six different kinds O serogroups, which belonged classical EPEC serogroups (O55, O114, O119, O127a). findings suggest is significant causative agent diarrhea. addition, it demonstrated markedly correlated adults.
