摘要: Abstract The regulation of the function adrenal zona glomerulosa appears to be under control several factors, ACTH being an important one among them. Recent studies using crude posterior pituitary extract and purified vasopressin have shown that these preparations cause significant stimulation mitotic activity female rat glomerulosa. mitogenic is very evident with hypophysectomized animal model in which 2 days treatment causes almost complete restoration while only weakly effective. Vasopressin also increases plasma aldosterone normal a manner comparable terms dose response time course for short-term treatment. In long-term increased did not change. A similar pattern was observed corticosterone. lack increment animals indicates vivo steroidogenic effect intact probably mediated through other factors.
