Adherence to Medication, Diet and Physical Activity and the Associated Factors Amongst Patients with Type 2 Diabetes

摘要: The prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) has increased considerably while the outcome diabetic management is suboptimal. In order to promote management, associated factors for adherence medications, diet, and physical activity (PA) need be more clearly identified amongst patients with T2D. This cross-sectional study was conducted on 206 men 294 women who were registered in ten special clinics Shiraz, Iran from November 2018 April 2019. Levels medication, Mediterranean diet (MD), measured validated appropriate questionnaires. Mean age (± SD) 56.92 ± 0.52 years (58.8%) female. Data showed that reduced MD, PA glycated hemoblobin (HbA1c). Adherence medication among low, moderate, high levels 27.2%, 59.2%, 13.6%, respectively. Associated such as 50–64 years age, at least 65 years overweight, obese, divorced widow, smoker, ex-smoker had a significant influence P = 0.017, P = 0.018, P = 0.008. P = 0.045, P = 0.026, P < 0.004, P = 0.001, addition, MD 5.4%, 77.2%, 17.4%, smoker P = 0.011, P = 0.046, P = 0.002, P < 0.001, P = 0.032, Furthermore, 21%, 68.6%, 10.4%, Only non-smoker factor played role adherence, P = 0.010. T2D are not within acceptable range. Recognized contribute might improve allow one tailor message glycemic indices.
