Participants were 106 physicians. examined relationships JSPE (with 20 Likert-type items) at beginning students' 3rd year programs. Top scorers in school, compared Bottom scorers, obtained significantly higher average rating later (p < .05, effect size = 0.50). findings support long-term predictive validity JSPE, despite different methods evaluations (self-report supervisors' ratings) time interval (3 years). Because is relevant prosocial helping behavior, it important for investigators further enhance our understanding its correlates outcomes among health professionals.
