摘要: Abstract There has been increasing application of coronary angioplasty to patients with chronic total occlusions. The acute and long-term outcome in 271 after angtoplasty (142 single 129 multiple stenoses) a occlusion was compared 1,429 undergoing angloplasty subtotal (≤ 99% stenosis) occlusions (885 544 multilesion) participating the 1985–1986 National Heart, Lung, Blood Institute Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty Registry. Baseline characteristics were similar for each lesion group except higher incidence prior myocardial infarction left ventricular dysfunction (ejection fraction At 2 years, making adjustments baseline variables, had significantly increased risk death those occlusion. no significant differences cumulative event rates or bypass surgery. Approximately three-fourths free angina at years. In conclusion, is associated complication rate. Despite relief anginal symptoms, have 2-year mortality.
