摘要: Abstract A new set of three-dimensional velocity models beneath Mt. Etna volcano is derived in the present work. We have used P- and S-wave arrivals from local earthquakes recorded at permanent temporary seismic networks installed since 1980. 1249 more than four stations was selected for traveltime inversion. The obtained by using different data selection criteria parametrization display similar basic features, showing a high P-wave shallow depth SE quadrant, close connection with gravimetric Bouguer anomaly. This area shares low V p s ratio. High velocities ratios are along central conduits, suggesting presence dense, intrusive magmatic bodies extending to about 20 km. core surrounded lower velocities. relocated earthquake hypocenters also an outward dipping brittle region, away surrounding ductile zone spatially related anomalies located proximity craters.
