摘要: Interleukin 1 (IL 1) is a polypeptide hormone produced by macrophages, keratinocytes, and brain glial cells which acts as soluble mediator in immunological inflammatory reactions. Although its best known effect on the central nervous system ability to cause fever, it has been found influence cell growth, food intake, slow-wave sleep. We have developed binding assay for 125I-labeled recombinant murine IL show be highly specific. Additionally, affinity cross-linking studies indicate that rat receptor m.w. of approximately 80,000, similar previously described recognition molecule T fibroblasts. Using autoradiographic techniques, we visualized distribution 125I-IL sections fresh frozen brain. receptors were widespread throughout brain, forming distinctive pattern distribution. Areas especially dense typically neuron-rich sites such granule layer dentate gyrus, pyramidal hippocampus, cerebellum well hypothalamus. The indicates presence neuron bodies localization numerous discrete areas other than those hypothalamic involved temperature regulation, suggesting broader role functioning recognized. 1, derived from local or systemic sources, may function coordinate behavioral neuroendocrine activities with reactions body.
