摘要: The aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate the predictability obtaining a vertical ridge augmentation around dental implants, strictly following surgical protocol. Fourteen partially and four fully edentulous patients were treated between July 1993 November 1995. Forty-eight consecutive implants placed so that circumference upper part cover screw exposed from 2 7 mm. In addition bone chips, autogenous grafts harvested with bone-filtering aspirator threads completely covered barrier membrane. Flaps coronally displaced regenerative materials. Three 22 membranes became prematurely removed immediately. remaining 19 stayed in place for 12-month healing period until second-stage surgery. these cases, where membrane remained by soft tissue, all available space underneath filled tissue. eight cases histologic biopsy performed. Histologic analysis demonstrated vital regularly formed cells; three most coronal (approximately 1 mm) tissue connective bone. This showed when clinical protocol accurately followed, possibility complication reduced results achieving predictable.
