摘要: QSARs were derived for 103 analogues of 1-[(2-hydroxyethoxy)methyl]-6-(phenylthio)thymine (HEPT), a potent inhibitor the HIV-1 reverse transcriptase (RT). The activity these compounds was investigated by means multiple linear regression (MLR) and artificial neural network (ANN) techniques. Considering relevant descriptors obtained from MLR, correlation coefficient 0.92 ( n =95) with 4-5-1 ANN model. contribution each descriptor to structure-activity relationships evaluated. results showed that anti-HIV HEPT derivatives strongly dependent on hydrophobic character also steric factors substituents.
