摘要: Objectives Delirium signifies underlying brain dysfunction; however, its clinical significance in hemodialysis remains unclear. In this study, we sought to determine whether the occurrence of delirium during was associated with higher mortality. Patients and methods This a retrospective, 10-year cohort study. study performed at urology department located within hospital Oyokyo, Hirosaki. We analyzed 338 751 patients who underwent hemodialysis. Psychiatrists diagnosed according corresponding DSM-IV-TR criteria. Cox proportional hazard regression, which adjusted for patient age time initiation, sex, presence diabetes mellitus, performed. Hazard ratios (HRs) their 95% CIs were also reported. Results total, 286 without psychiatric diseases 52 evaluated. Eighty percent died 1 year while only 22% same period (P<0.01). Kaplan-Meier plots demonstrated existence associations between all-cause mortality (global log-rank P<0.001), cardiovascular disease-related infection-related P<0.001). Moreover, regression showed that (HR=1.96, CI: 1.32-2.90), (HR=2.65, 1.31-5.35), (HR=3.30, 1.34-8.10). Conclusion is an independent predictor death undergoing
