摘要: The processes of urbanisation have left a fragmented mosaic habitat patches varying size, shape and character with the result that from location to number quality contacts between varies considerably. Traditional measurements this fragmentation, its converse, connectivity, rarely looked at landscape as whole but instead simplified it specific subsets, or else area-to-area relationships through generalising into homogeneous pixels grids. In paper is examined scales appropriate spatial variability urban environment. Using direct measurement patch-to-patch contact all are relationship contiguous connecting habitats quantified. This further refined look connections different quality, measure highlights adverse effects on habitats.
