摘要: Gliomas comprise the most common and malignant intrinsic human brain tumours, with a very poor prognosis. Despite some recent therapeutic progress, there is still large demand for novel drug targets to cope high recurrence rate. In present article, we introduce Drosophila model as new tool in deciphering mechanisms underlying generation progression of glial tumours. fact that has only few cells no vascular system patrolling lymphocytes, basic principles glioblastoma biology appear well conserved. The role epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor pathways, PVR (PDGF- VEGF-receptor related) phophatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) signalling glioma models discussed. Key Concepts: Gliomas are prognosis. In majority glioblastoma, molecular cause malignancy due an amplification tyrosine kinase genes. EGF-receptor PI3K introduced text. Glial cell proliferation migration controlled by evolutionary conserved mechanisms. The insect melanogaster simple structured nervous perform similar tasks their vertebrate counterparts. The organism provides rich source decipher can be used define targets. Keywords: Drosophila; glial cells; tumour model; glioblastoma
