摘要: Abstract Urban growth in China has been increasingly investigated, but our knowledge of the expansion and regeneration industrial regions is still inadequate for well-planning well-management industry. This paper aims to investigate both from potential environmental risk (PER) perspective re-use pattern between 2005 2017 Hangzhou megacity through integrating remotely sensed images points interest. The random forest model further employed explore driving forces regeneration. Our results showed that plunged 3411.2 ha 2005–2009 2109.6 ha 2013–2017, while proportion city periphery increased moderately by 12.1%. industries with low PER increased, whereas medium plummeted. Moreover, high tended expand far away center. Regarding regeneration, core witnessed this process during early period, experienced considerable after 2013. preferable choice type inner areas was residential land, followed commercial land. modeling indicated economic development zone planning played a decisive role expansion. However, decision largely affected land price population density. distances river also contributed relatively highly Local government should strictly control total supply accelerate transformation reduce pressure. Brownfield formulate long-term scheme appropriate remedial strategies, meanwhile, consider pluralistic modes organic integration into urban functional space.
