摘要: Quality of life (QOL) and psychosocial functioning children diminishes with the onset seizures. The adult outcomes patients show some improvements good seizure control but impairments in areas remain. Epilepsy surgery childhood has potential to eliminate seizures, which may lead QOL functioning. This chapter reviews recent work on long-term following epilepsy childhood. few studies that have examined these find overall QOL, are not always concordant as domains improvements. Similarly, although found functioning, there is no consensus improve. Improvements when evident, consistently associated freedom. More recently, mood affective symptoms been be integral ratings QOL. Further needed identify specific diminished other variables involved, such IQ or memory, family function.
