摘要: Key findings: The FISHRENT model is a major step forward in bio-economic model-ling, combining features that have not been fully integrated earlier models: 1- Incorporation of any number species (or stock) and/or fleets 2- Integration simulation and optimisation over period 25 years 3- effort TAC-driven management policies 4- Three independent relations for stock growth, production investments. feedbacks within the allow dynamic simulation. main application scenario analysis policy options. Complementary formulates complete set mathematical relations, but it also con-tains important assumptions, which remain to be tested empirically. Therefore presents challenging agenda empirical research, should lead further qualitative quantitative improvements in-dividual equations parameter values. Method: This was developed during EU-funded project 'Remuneration spawning biomass'. Its aim generate consistent sets scenarios an assessment potential resource rents different EU fisheries. comprises six modules, each focussing on aspect functioning fisheries system: biology (stocks), economy (costs, earnings profits), (TACs, access fees), behaviour (investments), prices (fish fuel) interface linking modules together. Input, calculation output are clearly separated. produces standard graphics, provide quick insight into results run. All runs can exported database software analysis. has built Excel, makes accessible most us-ers. It used new applications even translated other software. continually developed.
