摘要: Sarcoptic mange represents the most severe disease for wild Caprinae individuals and populations in Europe, raising concerns both conservation management of these ungulates. To date, this has been investigated different caprine species under many perspectives including diagnostics, epidemiology, impact on host populations, genetics hosts parasite, with aim to disentangle host-Sarcoptes scabiei relationship. Notwithstanding, uncertainty remains basic questions still need an answer. Among are effect immune responses severity at individual level, main drivers host-parasite interactions clinical outcomes, role response determining shift from epidemic endemic cycle. A deeper approach pathology seems therefore advisable, all more reason considering that S. Caprinae, generally classified as a hypersensitivity, poorly understood. In paper, we reviewed pathological features associated sarcoptic wildlife, exploring kinds hypersensitivity objective highlighting major level proposing some key topics future research, particular attention Alps-dwelling caprines.
