摘要: Abstract δ 13 C PDB compositions for 39 samples of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) from the Gulf Mexico-Caribbean Sea-Atlantic Ocean system, South Pacific and Ross Sea are reported. Deep water values similar with a mean −21.8%. attesting to homogeneity oceanic DOC pool. In Antarctic waters, 5%. difference between particulate (POC), POC having modern plankton ( approx −27%.) supports idea transient nature as compared DOC. Total, lipid, acid hydrolyzed, amino residue fractions about 5, 3, 7, 5 3%. respectively, more negative in 2000 m surface Mexico.
