摘要: The perforations of the tympanic membrane maybe traumatic origin or due to chronic suppurative otitis media. If fail heal conservatively, they require surgical closure. Autologous graft materials have stood test time in repairing perforations. In our tertiary care institution we conducted a prospective randomized control trial on 50 subjects evaluate comparative efficacy temporalis fascia and tragal perichondrium as grafting material underlay tympanoplasty. this study success was evaluated terms intact drum during follow up period closure A–B gap within 10 dB. Temporalis achieved uptake 84% satisfactory hearing improvement 76% patients. Tragal rate 80% 75% gain. rates are comparable with no statistical significance difference between them.
