摘要: The research focuses in devising decentralised and distributed control system architecture for the management of internetworking systems to provide improved service delivery network control. theoretical basis, results simulation implementation a real-network are presented. It is demonstrated that better performance, utilisation fairness can be achieved customers as well network/service operators with value based system. A framework analysing networked shared resources developed demonstrated. This fits fundamental principles Internet. distributed, multiple loops run on achieve proportional their allocation, without central Some specific characteristic behaviours layers identified. isolated such each layer evolve independently fulfil functions better. A common pattern devised serve different independently. decision processes require no co-ordination between peers hence improves scalability solution. proposed readily fit into clearinghouse mechanism integration business logic. QoS revenue from both reservation-less reservation-based networks. limits resource usage types flows analysed. method sense modify user utilities support dynamic price offers devised. An optimal (within given conditions), automated provisioning, packet scheduler enforce measurement etc developed. model extended enhance autonomicity computer communication networks client-server P2P introduced Internet an incremental fashion. ideas presented built model-view-controller electronic enterprise frameworks now elsewhere platforms converged networks. Four US/EU patents were granted work carried out this thesis, cross-layer architecture, multi-layer scheme, scheduler. Four conference papers published
