摘要: Climate change is increasingly favouring the occurrence of extreme weather events, affecting species distribution and tree growth. It has been proposed that mixed forests are more resistant to drought spells heat waves than corresponding monocultures. We sampled cores in nine plots along a latitudinal gradient Italian Peninsula (Trentino, Molise Calabria). The objective study was identify radial growth responses mixed-species pure European beech silver fir climate dynamics events. Pointer years, as well correlation response functions, were used analyse climate–growth relationships plots. Climate–growth showed differences between only at regional level. In particular, Trentino differed from Calabria, when considering maximum temperatures. Trentino, winter (for fir) summer both species) temperatures had less negative impact on trees, comparison with Calabria. Nevertheless, correlations indices, principal component analysis, relatively unresponsive drought. These results can be important for implementation operational techniques increase adaptation change, assisted migration.
