摘要: Concentrations of ΣDDT, reported as Σop'and pp' DDT, DDD, and DDE, in muscle tissue fish from the Mersey Estuary are significantly elevated, compared to outer Liverpool Bay Irish Sea. ΣDDT concentrations fish, especially flounder, also higher than for populations same species Thames Estuary, west Scotland, English Channel, Atlantic coast estuaries France. was high flounder Garston inner (38.4 ± 17 μg kg -1 wet wt), but were elevated plaice, Dover sole, dab, invertebrates. is dominated by pp'DDD pp'DDE, former makes an unusually contribution (44-65%) sites elsewhere. pp'DDT measurable generally only at low levels. Cod whiting contained much lower levels flatfish. Residues DDT whitefish similar those Solway Firth Arctic waters below 3 weight.
