摘要: Abstract Global depletion of fossil fuels, growing awareness on the effects carbon emissions and greenhouse gases and, need for renewable energy, has increased attention towards biocoke research active engagement with various groups industrial players. Biocoke production utilisation is crucial as it contributes to efficient management agricultural residue municipal solid waste. The technologies involved in viability Malaysia's waste a feedstock was described this paper. In addition, paper provided background information about characteristics feedstocks that dictate quality. Comparisons commercial coal coke may be applicable Malaysia were also addressed. Moreover, demonstrated challenges commercialisation despite its from biomass characteristics, availability, evidence calorific value estimations.
