摘要: INTRODUCTION Research suggests that physical activity protects against youth smoking. As a result, prevention programs focus on to address the problem of smoking hold promise. However, more research is needed examine relationship between and how might be used in intervention programs. The present study examined among adolescents young adults using sample from Cyprus. We investigated association level (very active, moderately or inactive) type behavior (nonsmoker; occasional, regular light, heavy smoker). METHODS Participants were 1,390 Cypriot who completed packet questionnaires related activity. Physical demographic factors analyzed terms their effect behavior. RESULTS A consistent negative emerged across both sex age. greater intensity youths' activity, less likely they smoke. Compared with inactive individuals, physically active individuals smoked fewer cigarettes nonsmokers occasional smokers. Among those engaging intense light DISCUSSION Results indicate may as preventive measure adults.
