摘要: Over 7 weeks a group of five dingoes killed 83 red kangaroos within 150 m watering point in north-western New South Wales. All except three these were juveniles. Detailed autopsies performed on 17 the dead kangaroos: primary predation was only significant gross pathological finding; had eaten portions from about half killed. The daily rate killing estimated to be 0.38 kg prey per predator. and selection for juvenile suggested that could have direct effect kangaroo densities by limiting increase. significance this finding is discussed with reference difference abundance between Wales Queensland sides border fence.
