摘要: Abstract This review deals with the most recent findings on antimalarial, antimycobacterial, and antifungal properties of fatty acids, particular emphasis novel marine acids. The first section some background literature what has been latest developments respect to acids as antimalarial agents importance enzyme inhibition, in inhibition enoyl-ACP reductase (FabI) Plasmodium falciparum , principal agent responsible for malaria. also emphasizes research very long-chain Δ5,9 from sponges. second antimycobacterial activity (InhA) Mycobacterium tuberculosis activity. inhibitory activities against InhA well that α-methoxylated are discussed. topoisomerase I inhibitors its connection cancer is reviewed. last part review, section, N -myristoyltransferase (NMT) but acetylenic considered.
