Crystal fields in Pr3+ doped rare earth gallium garnets, RE3Ga5O12:Pr3+

摘要: The optical absorption, site selective excitation and luminescence spectra of the trivalent praseodymium ion in three rare earth gallium garnet matrices, RE3Ga5O12 (REGG; RE=Y, Gd, Pr) were detected at 4, 77 300 K. 4f2 energy level schemes comprising 56 to 68 crystal field (CF) sublevels simulated according a phenomenological model taking into account both free CF effects. consisting 17 parameters with 8 9 appropriate D2 point symmetry RE3+ reproduced experimental satisfactory manner RMS deviations between 23 cm-1. vary only slightly as function host matrix. Bqk parameter sets for PrGG YGG:Pr3+ are consistent those obtained other REGG YGG:RE3+, respectively.
