摘要: The Department of Transport in the United Kingdom recorded 25,080 motor vehicle fatalities 2019. This situation stresses need for an intelligent transport system (ITS) that improves road safety and security by avoiding human errors with use autonomous vehicles (AVs). Therefore, this survey discusses current development two main components ITS: (1) gathering AVs surrounding data using sensors; (2) enabling vehicular communication technologies. First, paper various sensors their role AVs. Then, technologies to facilitate everything (V2X) are discussed. Based on transmission range, these grouped into three categories: long-range, medium-range short-range. short-range group presents Bluetooth, ZigBee ultra-wide band examines properties dedicated communications (DSRC). Finally, long-range cellular-vehicle (C-V2X) 5G-new radio (5G-NR). An important characteristic which differentiates each category its suitable application is latency. research a comprehensive study AV identifies advantages, disadvantages, challenges.
